McKinnon Financial Services was established in May 1992 to provide Finance advice to individuals, sole traders and small-to-medium sized businesses.

Within the first year, Dean had demand from clients to provide other Finance such as Home Loans, Investment Loans and Business Loans and completed comprehensive training on Mortgage Finance structures. Subsequently, McKinnon Financial Services obtained accreditation with several major banking institutions and incorporated Mortgage Finance as a key service.

With a strong desire to offer a complete Financial Service to clients and ensure clients were being looked after financially, Dean completed the required Financial Planning and Risk Insurance education in 1994 to become a licensed Financial Planner.

McKinnon Financial Services operates under its own Australian Credit Licence (click here to view our ACL), and McKinnon Financial Planning has it own Australian Financial Services Licence (click here to view our AFSL). With our own licences, we advise you on the Investments and Financial Products that are right for you, without product limitations and influence created by the Adviser-Licenced Dealer relationship, or the ones that pay us the highest commission.
